Hill Consulting Group
Terms & Policies
This Program Attendance & Cancellation policy applies only to public program registrations submitted to Hill Consulting Group on-line, or by phone-in, mail-in or email registration.  This policy does not apply to on-site client programs.

Hill Consulting Group reserves the right, in its own judgment, to deny or revoke the registration and attendance of any individual or group as a matter of maintaining its competitive business posture in the marketplace and ensuring retention and control of its intellectual property.  Such a rare determination is normally made prior to billing, so any affected registrant or group will be notified and there will be no program fees incurred.  In the unlikely event such a determination is made after billing, fees will be returned to any affected registrant.

Program Registration and Attendance

Participants are responsible for registration and payment in advance of the program they wish to attend.  On-site program registration and payment is accepted.  However, it is recommended that advance registration be accomplished at least one week prior to the program start date.  If you have not registered in advance, you may not gain access to the program due to participant number limitations.  As well, you may not be notified of program cancellations, venue changes, or other important program adjustments.

Program participants are responsible for arranging their own transportation and lodging, as necessary, to enable them to attend the program for which they have registered.

Program participants are responsible for all meals during their program attendance, unless otherwise indicated.  Please note that any designated breakfast and afternoon snacks are not complete meals, but represent only light fare that is shared by all participants until consumed.

Registered participants should plan to arrive at the program venue is sufficient time to attend the entire program from start to finish.  There are no program fee refunds for late arrivals, partial program attendance or no-shows.  Participants should consider and resolve such things as possible flight delays, deteriorating weather conditions, and highway congestion when planning travel to the program venue.

Program Cancellations and Refunds

Hill Consulting Group reserves the right to cancel any public program, and will normally do so at least two weeks before the program start date.  On rare occasions, it may be necessary and Hill Consulting Group reserves the right to cancel a program with less than two weeks notice.  However, Hill Consulting Group will make a concerted effort to notify all registered participants as soon as possible in the event of a program cancellation.  When the Hill Consulting Group cancels a program, all registered individuals will be notified and receive a full refund of billed program fees.  When Hill Consulting Group cancels a program, the registered individual retains responsibility for any costs associated with their travel and lodging arrangements.

Hill Consulting Group recognizes that circumstances may arise when you become unable to attend a program for which you are registered, and for which payment has been made.  This policy is created to address such circumstances.  The following practices will apply when you are unable or otherwise do not attend a program for which you have registered:

n You may cancel your public program registration at any time prior to the program start date for a full program refund.  If you cancel within two weeks (14 days) of the program start date, a $25 (USD) cancellation fee will be subtracted from your refund amount.

n You may cancel your attendance and transfer your public program registration to a colleague or other person you designate.  Your payment transaction will remain intact until the new participant's payment is confirmed; or you may leave the payment on the credit card account you used when registering.  There is no additional cost for the first occurrence of this type of transfer.  Any subsequent transfers will incur a small service fee not to exceed $100 (USD) per requested transfer.

n You will incur the full program cost (per your payment at registration) in the event you do not cancel prior to the start date of the program for which you are registered, or in the event you do not attend the program and do not provide the required notification of cancellation.

You may cancel or transfer your program registration by notifying Hill Consulting Group via email or by telephone (See Contact Us).  In email correspondence, please include your telephone number in case follow-up contact is necessary to complete the transaction.  The Eastern Time Zone in the United States is used to determine cancellation notification dates and times.

Hill Consulting Group will provide refunds to registrants according to the timeliness of notification of cancellation.  Refunds normally will be made within 30 days of notification either by issuing a credit to the credit card or other payment account used to purchase the registration, or by a refund check mailed to the registrant.
